I was an inspector for the San Diego Air Pollution Control District. Before that I worked for Scripps Institution of Oceanography. This combination of experiences informs my approach to environmental compliance. I understand the viewpoint of a regulator and I have the capacity for attention to detail required for working in academic research. I have a BA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UC Santa Cruz and a Master of Public Health degree from San Diego State University.

A southern California native, raised in Riverside, I remember the smog being so bad in the 70’s and 80’s that you could cut it with a knife. We don’t have that

Rebecca Watkins is originally from Phoenix, Arizona where she studied water availability issues facing desert metropolitan regions. Rebecca completed her Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University where she worked as a laboratory assistant assessing soil nitrogen levels and completed her capstone project investigating the role that homeowners associations play in water usage of residential homes for landscaping purposes. Rebecca is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Public Health, with an emphasis on Environmental Health from San Diego State University. Rebecca joined Rely Environmental in 2014 and works on special projects; including stormwater compliance, CERS account management, diesel fleet compliance, hazardous waste management, and spill control and countermeasure plans.

Joshua Jones started with us in 2013 after working in the management, maintenance and construction of fueling facilities beginning in 1999. Prior to that he was involved in the construction and project management of speculation homes in Orange County, Ca. With an extensive background in the operations and equipment related with underground storage tanks, he is an additional asset to our team. He enjoys spending time with his wife and young children traveling, fishing, camping and riding motorcycles, in addition to taking care of 8 other animals at his home in Escondido.

Gloria Jimenez has worked with the City of Chula Vista as a Safety Intern where she gained occupational safety skills. She has obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science (Public Health) from San Diego State University. She has done air quality research as an undergraduate and has presented in SDSU’s Annual Student Research Symposium. Upon graduation, Gloria worked with the County of San Diego as a Human Services Specialist where she determined eligibility for both Medi-Cal and CalFresh programs. Her love for the environment and health of the people lead her to pursue a master’s degree in Environmental Health. Gloria is currently a second year student at San Diego State University working for a Master’s Degree in Public Health emphasizing in Environmental Health.
